The sightseeing tour begins at Santa Bárbara Beach, one of the most renowned surfing spots. From there, we will head towards the Ribeira Grande City Center, where we will have the opportunity to explore the city’s historical heritage.
Afterward, we will visit Gorreana Tea Factory, one of the only tea plantations in Europe, where we will have the chance to learn about the tea production process.
Continuing our journey, we will proceed to Miradouro Pico do Ferro, which offers a panoramic view of Furnas Lake.
Next, we will visit the Fumaroles, where you can observe the hot water pools and even taste the mineral water found there.
After visiting the fumaroles, we will have lunch at one of the local restaurants that offer the traditional “cozido das Furnas” (Furnas stew).
Following lunch, we will visit either the Terra Nostra Thermal Bath or Poça da Dona Beija, where we will have the opportunity to relax in the hot thermal waters and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.
Next, we will head to Miradouro Nossa Senhora da Paz, which provides a panoramic view of Vila Franca do Campo and its islet.
Lastly, we will visit the Morgado Queijadas Factory in Vila Franca, where we can indulge in the famous queijadas de Vila Franca (Vila Franca pastries).
