This 8-hour tour through the Northeast of São Miguel Island it’s a mix with the Nordeste Waterfalls hiking experience + Nordeste van tour.
It begins with a visit to Poço Azul, here we will start our hiking journey visiting a water well, where we might have the opportunity to see a reflection of a clear and calm blue color. Then we will visit the Salto da Farinha viewpoint, which offers a view of a 40-metre drop waterfall. After that we will hike a bit more on the Moinho do Félix trail, where we can see another 3 waterfalls, bring your swimwear so you can experience a waterfall dip!
After an action-packed morning, we take a break for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try the island’s typical cuisine.
After lunch, the next stop is the famous Ribeira dos Caldeirões, a natural park that is home to a series of waterfalls, as well as old water mills. It’s a great place for a walk and to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.
And finally, we end the tour with two magnificent viewpoints, the Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego and the Miradouro da Ponta da Madrugada, one of the best places to enjoy the sunrise in São Miguel.
