Join us on an exciting adventure through the beautiful Lagoa do Fogo in São Miguel! If you have only 4 hours available, we recommend you take this trail with us and make the most of your time on the island.

We will start the hike in Água de Alto. Initially while going up hill we pass by several picturesque points. After the ascent, we will walk side by side along a levada where we will be totally immersed in nature, with trees shading for a long stretch. Afterwards, we will come across a valley, where countless water springs are born. Finally, we will reach a small beach with a magnificent view of the lagoon. After a short break at the beach we return trough the same path.
Along this trail, we will encounter some endemic plants and many of the seagulls that inhabit the island.

Bring comfortable hiking footwear, an extra pair of footwear, a wind or rain jacket, and a hat. We will provide cold non alcoholic drinks and the hiking poles for your convenience.
